The Enrollment Management Association (EMA), a nonprofit organization, creates the SSAT and its Official SSAT Online Practice. EMA has a practice content licensing agreement with Test Innovators, making Test Innovators an official EMA partner. Being an official partner is separate from the Official SSAT Online Practice, which is only available from EMA through SSAT.org.

What is the difference between the two SSAT practice offerings?

The Official SSAT Online Practice provides students with four full practice tests that emulate the actual SSAT tests, 15 practice section tests, and numerous subject quizzes for only $80.

More importantly, the official SSAT practice tests, section tests, and subject quizzes are all developed by the same people who create the actual SSAT test questions. They carefully craft all practice questions to simulate the type and difficulty of the questions on the real test. Other SSAT practice providers are merely guessing at what is on the SSAT.

In contrast, Test Innovators subscribers gain access to three EMA practice tests with its Valedictorian package, currently priced at $399. Test Innovator’s lower-priced practice options don’t include official SSAT practice questions.
